Charon, the ferryman, rows the newly dead across the river Styx to Hades after the soul leaves the body. Some accounts say the dead are then bathed in the waters of the Acheron to cleans and prepare for the afterlife. Mankind similarly prepares the dead for their final resting place beginning with their final bath. The waters run across the corpse carrying the fluids of the departed vessel, the ichor of death. The power of this water is indescribable! As the corpse is washed the faded memory of life is flushed away and the water becomes infused with mortality, that final moment of someone's life. It can be used as an open door to the Below by adding it to lamps, anointing statues, tools, and amulets, water herbs associated with the dead to further infuse them with power, use it to summon the restless dead for necromantic rites and divination. Don't believe it's real? Simply smell it and feel the breath of the dead on your neck.
Use with caution! Wash hands immediately after use and do not drink or ingest.
